Philosophy

The arts are important for three reasons:

It is through the arts that we are able to understand and give meaning to the world.

Creativity is the engine that drives the economy.

The arts enrich our lives with both simple pleasures and the profound capacity to “express the inexpressible”.

Artists have a very hard job. The process of translating the creative idea into reality poses a huge array of challenges. It is our role to work with arts organisations in order to find ways that will give the artists the time they need.
